Skid Steer Augers and Auger Drives

Easy Rack skid steer augers are designed to transform your skid steer into a heavy-duty drilling tool. They are ideal for virtually any construction-related drilling operation. Heavy duty skid steer augers can be used to remove dirt from areas that are intended for posts, pillars, or poles. They can also drill through concrete. Special skid steer duty augers and auger drives can drill through certain strata and densities of solid rock.

Easy Rack skid steer auger drives are designed for systems operating between 10 and 35 GMP and 2000-3000 PSI. Skid steer auger drives are planetary units that feature heavier components than competing auger drives. Clients have reported that they have consistently outperformed all other drives in their class, and that they can be used for almost any drilling need if fitted with the correct auger.
Each skid steer auger drive requires a hose kit that includes 2 ½ X 96" hoses protect by a sleeve and flat-faced, hydraulic quick couplers. The mounting frame that attaches the auger drive to the skid-steer is also very unique in its power and performance. It features the largest, strongest cradle on the market and even provides a weatherproof tube that allows you to store the owner's manual on the unit itself. The universal quick-tach fitting allows the auger drive to be mounted to any modern skid-steer loader.
Easy Rack carries five different types of skid steer augers to anticipate and accommodate the drilling needs of construction crews in the field.
These skid steer augers are most frequently used in places that feature moderate soil conditions. They are excellent tools for drilling in clay, Gulf Coast "gumbo dirt, and mixtures of rock fragments and dirt.Standard Duty Augers
These skid steer augers are most frequently used in places that feature moderate soil conditions. They are excellent tools for drilling in clay, Gulf Coast "gumbo dirt, and mixtures of rock fragments and dirt. These units feature fabricated boring heads, hardened bolt on teeth and fishtail pilots, and consist of a 3/8" double flight and a 3 ¼" tube-shaped shaft. Standard duty augers can be ordered in 6-36" diameter depending on need.
Similar in size and dimension to the standard duty model, the skid steer tree auger is a step down model that has a smaller diameter at the bottom 12" which drills a hole that is just right for planning trees and scrubs. Tree augers are best used in moderate soil conditions such as clay dirt, sandy dirt, and rocky soil.
These extra tough skid steer augers are made specifically for hard ground conditions such as heavy clay, compacted earth, frozen earth, fractured rock, and buried asphalt.Heavy Duty Augers

Easy Rack HD augers are made with a cast boring head that features replaceable teeth. Diameter sizes range from 4 ½" to 36" depending on need and location.
This auger enables your skid steer to drill "T-post" holes in any type of dirt. It is especially useful in tough soil conditions such as frozen ground, solid rock, and even concrete. T-Post Augers

Help answer the question about skid steer
On John Deere skid steer model 325, where does the cupholder go, where does the rear view mirror go?
Only some of the skid steers have it, it is optional. Where can I purchase the rear view mirror kit and cupholder, since mine does not have it?

There isn't really a "Blue Book" value for used equipment. You will also have to consider the economy we're in, which has brought the sales prices down on used equipment. You could find similar machines for sale on the big equipment sales sites such as machinery trader. Check the specs on those machines and compare them to your own and then see if you get any calls listing it there.

the dealer will have all your skid steer needs…. while ya there might ask for the seat warmer and rear window wiper also

How much more responsive are the Locust controls than the Cat controls? ( If I were in need of a quick forward-to backward motion, then controls/engine do not allow a fast motion…it had to slow itself down before engaging a different order.

Frosty is likely right, I've been operating one for a while in a foundry and I can tell you that's no good, but he seems he's working with a brand new machine, and doing a show/demo… so I doubt he cares! It'd be different if it were a 94 bobcat. Haha. with a million hours. Definitly skilled though, agree there.

Double check the oil level HOT. As the oil heats up, the viscosity changes. The oil will become thinner. Also, as the hyd. pump heats up the clearences expand, witch could give you an "internal leak"AKA lower operating pressure.

that comment was not putting him down. he has skill.

He was obviously able to do it all. How do you feel now? He apparently is a capable driver and kept the skidster well within his control. However, you don't like that, so you feel the need to talk down to him. Does that make you feel better?

Around here you can rent a small 50hp for $35-50 an hour but you'll do a lot of running in circles if you've never used one. However if you have the time and the money they're a blast to play with. With an operator $50-75 an hour and a 100hp, half again as much. RScott

I myself work in a foundry and drive a skidsteer picking up cores and sand. I must say I emulate a few of those moves, not nearly as smoothly, as coreographed or technical, but just messin around! Can't do it all though, our New hollands have no cages to Clear I Beams in the plant. Ugh. So we can't get too dangerous
This is truly awesome though.
